Helen didn't particularly mind serious, as she had a tilt toward the melancholy herself, but kissing was a much better way to occupy her time than talking. Even still, she felt like they'd crossed a line somehow and what had begun as something fun had shifted into something deeper and fuller.
She was also surprised to find that even with her normal aversion to such things, she honestly didn't mind it.
